Deliverance

 

True deliverance comes from the Lord; we read about from the Word of God and His deliverance.

      1. From Enemies – Psalm 18:48 - He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

      2. From Troubles - Psalm 34:17 - The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Apostle Paul exemplified this in 2Timothy 3:10 - But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 

2 Timothy 3:11 - Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 

      3. From Temptations – 2 Peter 2:9 - The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: 

      4. From Death – Speaking of Jesus we read in 2 Corinthians 1:10 - Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; 

      5. From the wrath to come – 1 Thessalonians 1:10 - And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 

There is no greater friend than the Lord Jesus Christ. We read in Proverbs 18:24 - A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
