No Doubt about It

Mark 12:30-31  “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”

Do you understand there are aspects of God’s will you never need to pray about – that you know with 100 percent certainty are always God’s plan for you? We see that in the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount (Exodus 20; Matthew 5-7). We are to love one another, forgive, and remain faithful to the Lord.

The greatest commandment, of course, is to love God above everything and everyone else. We put Him first, learn to listen to His voice, and watch for His path to open up before us. We are patient in our love for Him and others. We don’t demand our ways or rights. Instead, we surrender to God regardless of what He asks because that is the devotion He deserves as our Savior and Lord.

Likewise, we are to be grateful. We learn in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” We praise God for His goodness toward us. We are no longer focused on what is wrong or our own feelings of inadequacy. Instead, we love Him with everything we have – and this puts us in the center of His will.
