Encouragement in the Work of God!
Get involved in Sunday School; get involved in ministering to others. James tells us in James 1:27, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this. To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted before the world.”
1 Corinthians 3:14 - If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
1 Corinthians 3:15 - If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
1 Thessalonians 4:11 - And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
Revelation 14:13 - And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
“For their works follow with them” reveals that they will be rewarded for their faithfulness, patience, and works in this period. God does not save anyone for his works, but He does reward us for our works. Our works (good or bad) are like tin cans tied to a dog's tail; we cannot get away from them. They will follow us to the bema seat of Christ.
Are you born-again, if yes, get baptized. Are you scripturally baptized, by immersion, if yes, then join a local Bible believing, Bible teaching and preaching church. If you are a member of a local New Testament, Bible believing church, get involved, there is encouragement in the work of the Lord.
