Words of Wisdom

Proverbs 13:1, “A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a

scorner heareth not rebuke.”

These proverbs were primarily written to the son of Solomon,

but God intended for the principles to be applied to anyone who

would hear and apply these truths to their life.

How wise are we today? We are shocked and dismayed

seemingly on a daily basis as we hear of events and

happenings all across our great nation.

So, todays word of wisdom is to hear.

Romans 10:14, “How then shall they call on him in whom they have

not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they

have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”

Matthew 13:9, “Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”

Do you hear the Word of God with joy in your heart? Can you

say as David said in Psalm 122:1, “I was glad when they said unto

me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.”

That same verse in Proverbs 13:1 says, “but a scorner heareth not

rebuke.” Some folks hear with their ears, but not with their heart.

Hear with your heart, the Word taught and preached and

experience the wisdom of God
