God’s Perfect Will
Psalm 138:8 - The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth forever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
We have looked at the teachings of Romans 12:2, “the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Today, we will look at what it means that God’s plans for you are perfect.
When we read the word perfect, we may be daunted by thoughts of having to maintain a flawless walk with the Lord, but that is not what is intended by the word there. The Greek word “teleios” that is used means finished, brought to maturity, enabled to reach the goal, or needing nothing for completeness. In other words, the Lord already has a comprehensive and trustworthy strategy for leading you all the way to victory.
Friend, the Father has no half-baked schemes – especially when it comes to your life. You may not know His full plan, but He does. In fact, we learn in Isaiah 46:10 – “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:” Our Heavenly Father can and will bring it to absolute completion. So, there is never a need to worry about whether or not God’s plans will work out. They will. Therefore, do not fear. Entrust your life to Him, and He will lead you to triumph.
