Attitude

Philippians 3:13 - Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

Philippians 3:14 - I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Attitude, for some it makes them, for others it breaks them.

Here’s a few truths about attitude.

1,  It determines our approach to life.

The Apostle Paul pressed on to the future, not looking back at past failures, but looking forward to what God could accomplish in his life as a surrendered servant.

  1. It determines our relationship to others.

Teddy Roosevelt said, “the important part of success is to know how to get along with people.” It was true for Teddy Roosevelt, and it is true for you and I.

  1. Our attitude at the beginning of a task will determine its outcome.

We are told in Proverbs 23:7 - For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:

Henry Ford put it like this, “Whether you think you can, or if you think you can’t, you are right!”

  1. Our attitude is not automatically good just because we are Christians.

Our attitude is something we must work at daily. We must choose to “walk in the spirit, so that we don’t fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
