Think About Others

Hebrews 10:24 - And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Have you been caught up in your own worries and fears? Has your focus been on yourself? You probably realize that doesn’t help your situation (Matthew 6:25-34). Certainly, you know your attention would be better spent on what God would have you to do, which is “seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33). And you do that by loving others in His name.

Understand that the enemy will tempt you to dwell on your problems because it stops you from taking part in the body of Christ. But can you imagine if the apostle Paul had got mired in worry and self pity when he was in prison? He wouldn’t have written so much of the New Testament. But instead, because he stayed faithful in encouraging others, Paul would hear good news about how the churches were growing and how believers were stepping out in faith, and could say, “This is all worth it.”

So instead of entertaining thoughts about what is wrong, think about how you can help others grow in their faith and mature in their giftedness. In other words, focus your energy on helping others to be more like Jesus. Because that is certainly worthy of your attention.
