Thankful For

The Privilege of Prayer

Luke 18:1 - And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

What a blessing and a privilege it is for we the creatures to go before God the Creator and make our requests known, with full assurance from the Bible that God hears and answers our prayers.

It is interesting to me that of all the miracles and teachings that the Disciples saw and heard from Christ that the one thing they asked Him to teach them is found in Luke 11:1 -  And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

We are taught in Hebrews 4:16 - Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

As believers we see in the above verse that we can enter boldly as we pray and can be assured that we will find mercy and grace to help in time of need.

Don’t allow the cares of this life to rob you of the blessing of going before the Heavenly Father in prayer, making your requests known to Him.

1 John 5:14 - And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

1 John 5:15 - And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
