Walk in His Paths

Isaiah 2:3 - And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Here again we told how God wants us to walk or how to live the Christian life. He tells us further in Jeremiah 6:16 - Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

We are to walk in the proven paths, the old paths, that God says is the good way. The Word of God outlines how we should live. We are told that in these old paths we will find rest for our souls.

To some the Bible may be an outdated old book, but to Believers it is the Living Way. In it we find the plan of God for each of our lives. That plan involves trusting Christ as our Savior and following Him as we grow in the Christian life.

Many will say as those in Jeremiah’s day said, “We will not walk therein,” and in so doing they miss the blessings that God wants us to have. The blessing  of eternal life, the assurance of Heaven as our home, and the confidence that we will be with Jesus one day.
