Joy and Peace

Philippians 1:21-26

 

Heaven is a wonderful place and I look forward to being there one day but I don’t want to just sit down and wait until I get there to enjoy the Christian life; Philippians 4:7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 

 

Philippians 4:4 - Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

 

Joy and Peace that comes from –

  • A Sure Future

Jesus is Coming Again. When, I don’t know. There will be a rapture, a snatching away of all the saved. The living will be changed, the dead raised, and we will meet Him in the air. That is the promise of the Son of God.

 

There is the promise of heaven for all who trust Christ as their Savior. There will be no separation, no sorrow, no more crying, no more suffering for all eternity. How wonderful to think of the blessing of a sure future. “I will come again and receive you unto myself.

  • The Mind of Christ

Philippians 2:5  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 

Paul knew Christ as Savior. His mind was right; his heart was right. He loved the Lord. He was an educated man, a man of convictions, and in jail because of what he believed. His mind was healthy and free of worry. He rejoiced in the Lord.

Keep your mind healthy, clean and fixed on God. Be alert to the evils of this world through radio, television, magazines, cell phones, videos and video games. Remember: you can have just one thought at a time, and it will either be good or bad.  Put good things into your mind.

  • A Grateful Heart

Philippians 4:18 - But I have all, and abound: I am full,

Paul was grateful. Are you grateful that you are saved and going to heaven? Are you happy that the Holy Spirit dwells in you? Are you happy to have a Bible that you can read and follow?
