What is the Christian Life?  Submission

Acts 11:25 - Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

Act 11:26 - And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

The disciples were called Christians at Antioch because they were acting like Christ. Previously we learned the Christian life is a life of service. We learn in Romans 6:16 - Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

All of us are servants, either to sin unto death or obedience unto righteousness.

There is nothing that will satisfy like a close walk with the Lord. The Christian life is a life of service, self-denial, and satisfaction. All of this is possible as we live in submission to Jesus Christ our Savior.

The Christian Life is a Life of Submission

James 4:7 - Submit yourselves therefore to God….

Romans 13:1 - Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Submission to God’s will that is found in God’s Word results in a peace that passes all understanding and joy unspeakable and full of glory. Walk with the Lord today.
