What is the Christian Life? Allowing Christ to Work Through You
Acts 11:25 - Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:
Acts 11:26 - And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And
it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church,
and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in
Antioch.
As we have looked at the Christian life, we have saw that it is a life of
service, self-denial, satisfaction, submission, and being Spirit-Filled.
As we think about what a grand and glorious feeling it is to be a Christian,
we still sometimes feel weary. Sometimes we feel like our service for the
Lord becomes a burden. I have good news for you today, we were never
meant to live the Christian life in our own strength.
There’s an old saying that goes like this, “If God leads you to it, He will lead
you through it.”
The promise from Jesus is Hebrews 13:5 - …….. for he hath said, I will never
leave thee, nor forsake thee.
The Christian life is all about allowing Jesus to live His life through you.
Sometimes we think the Bible characters were all super saints when they
were regular folks like you and me who allowed God to do great and mighty
things through them.
Remember the old song, “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ Blood
and Righteousness.”
