God’s Ways

Isaiah 55:8 - For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

We are told in Romans 12:1,2 to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We are told this because in the Scripture Isaiah 55:8 we have learned that God’s ways are not our ways, so we must allow the Holy Spirit to transform us to Christ.

What does that look like? Our Heavenly Father never commands us to do or be something that He doesn’t also tell how to accomplish the task.

We are told in Romans 15 and in Philippians 2 what conforming to Christ involves.

It is an attitude of self-sacrifice, compassion toward others, patience in times of trials, and a peace that passes all understanding.

Philippians 2:5 - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Philippians 2:6 - Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Philippians 2:7 - But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Philippians 2:8 - And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Jesus made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, then we read, God highly exalted Him.

When we humble ourselves as Christ, then God will exalt, but if we build ourselves up in pride, God will humble us. Our prayer should be to be like Christ, transformed into His image.
