God’s Gift
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
During the Christmas season we think of the greatest Gift given to mankind, Jesus Christ, the Savior!
Romans 1:16 - “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation, to everyone that believeth, to the Jew first and also unto the Gentile.”
O what a Savior, who saves to the uttermost, He saves throughly, Psalm 51:2 - “Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!”
That word throughly is an interesting word. When I first read it, I thought the writer must have meant thoroughly, so I looked up the definition of each word. Thoroughly is defined as completely, throughly is defined as from beginning to end. A noteworthy difference in those words.
From the beginning God had a plan to redeem mankind! A perfect plan of redemption! If you are saved today, you have something to rejoice about!
Luke 10:20 - Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
2 Corinthians 9:15 - Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
