God is for us
Romans 8:31 - What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
How many believe that God is for us?
Do you believe that Romans 8:28 is true, where we read, - “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
The question Paul asks us here in Romans 8:31 is like a situation Moses faced in the wilderness. In Numbers 14, we read the account of what happened after the ten spies gave their report. The people began to weep and try to get someone to lead them back to Egypt. In verse 9, Moses reminds the people that God is on their side.
Here Paul is reminding us that God is on our side, as he asks the question, “Who can be against us?”
1 John 4:4 - Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
I want to show you tonight from the Truth of God’s Word who it is that is against us.
What a tremendous truth we have as believers, in that the Creator of the universe, the all-knowing, all-present, all-powerful God is on our side!
