Reprogramming Our Hearts

Thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee.  Isaiah 43: 4

One thing a computer manufacturer does is program each machine. At the factory, a set of instructions is inserted into the computer's memory, and those instructions tell the computer what to do.

In a sense, you and I get programmed. When we are young, our minds are constantly being programmed by the experiences we have. Later on, those instrucitons that have been inserted into our brains will try to tell us what to do and think. This programming happens to all of us. But when the things that have been put into our memories are bad or untrue, we will have problems later in life.

In that case, we need to reprogram our mind and heart; we need to replace the bad things that have taken root there with good and true things. And that is where God can help. In His Word, He provides truths to replace the lies you've believed about yourself.

Open your heart to Christ and ask Him to help you see yourself the way He sees you--as His beloved child, "precious and honored in my sight."
