The Lord is Faithful
1 Corinthians 1:9 - God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
God is faithful says the Apostle who had went through great trials that we read of in 2 Corinthians 11:26 - In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren.
Who better to testify of the faithfulness of God than a man who had endured so much.
Another man who suffered greatly was Jeremiah who also witnesses to the faithfulness of God in Lamentations 3:21-23 - This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
The Lord’s mercies are not based on our circumstances. We are taught in 2 Timothy 2:13 - If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
I John 1:9 teaches us He is faithful to forgive.
I Corinthians 10:13 teaches us He is faithful to deliver us in temptation.
Hebrews 10:23 teaches us He keeps His promises.
Don’t depend on your faith, depend on His faithfulness.
