Why the Storms

Acts 27-28

If God brought you to it,

He will bring you through it!

Do you ever wonder why we go through storms sometimes in our lives?

  1. We all go through storms! Acts 27:20, There will be days when you wonder how you’re going to make it. But, by God’s grace you will!
  2. Storms reveal how well you know God. Acts 27:23-24

It’s the tough times that reveal the strength of your relationship with God.

  1. God can make a success out of a shipwreck.

Notice some important things in this story; Acts 27:18 -

  1. Sometimes you will have to throw stuff overboard. Luke 12:15, “A man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of things he possesseth.”
  2. Acts 27:26, In spite of your best efforts you will sometimes run aground.
  3. Acts 27:25, You must remember what God told you and stand on it.
  1. Often the worst thing that could have happened turns out for the best.

God used this shipwreck to reach Malta with the Gospel. And notice what happened to Paul and his traveling companions as they left that island: 28:10, Who also honored us with many honors; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.

Stop worrying, God will provide what we need in ways that will amaze you. If you are His child, you are not the victim of circumstances. Your future is not in the hands of people, it’s in the Hands of God. And what He owns, He takes care of!
