Heavenly Home
John 14:2 - In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
What a blessed thought it is to know Jesus is preparing a place for all believers. We know from Scriptures that it will be greater that we can even imagine according to Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” and again in 1 Corinthians 2:9 – “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
Heaven will be so much more than just an eternal home. Think about this, we will be with Jesus our Savior, we will see all our believing loved ones who have gone on before.
Not only that but we will also be in a place where there is no more sin, evil, pain, or death. There will be no need for eyeglasses, wheelchairs, hospitals, or cemeteries.
We can also look forward to being rewarded for faithful service to the Lord. We are taught in Hebrews 6:10 – “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
All of these are reasons to praise the Lord who through His gift of salvation has enabled us to renew that relationship with our Heavenly Father and enjoy His fellowship.
