The Spiritual Mind

We have been looking at the Book of Philippians, in chapter 1 we learned about the Single Mind, in chapter 2 we saw the Submissive Mind, and today we look at chapter 3 where we learn about The Spiritual Mind.

The theme for this portion of Scripture is found in Philippians 3:20 - For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

We see here in verses 1-11 the Apostle Paul looks at his past. In this chapter Paul says this, Philippians 3:8 - Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Philippians 3:9 - And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

In verses 12-16 Paul acknowledges his present, Philippians 3:13 - Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

Philippians 3:14 - I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Then in verses 17-21 the Apostle Paul speaks of his future, Philippians 3:20  For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Philippians 3:21 - Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Paul knew what it meant to Walk in the Spirit. He had allowed the Holy Spirit to conform him to have a Spiritual Mind, that compelled him to think as he teaches us to think in, Colossians 3:2 - Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
