Wait For His Guidance
Psalm 32:8 - I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
Perhaps you don’t know what to do today. There is a problem that consumes your mind, but you cannot see a clear way forward. If you don’t know what to do, the only thing you can do is seek God and wait to see what He will reveal to you. That’s what having patience means. It doesn’t mean you sit and do nothing; but, rather, you persevere by actively anticipating that the Lord will respond on your behalf (Isaiah 64:4).
However, to wait in an effective manner, you should answer some important questions in your own heart: Do you believe that God indeed is all-powerful, all-wise, and ultimately good and loving toward you? Do you trust that when you ask the Lord for wisdom, He reveals it to you willingly (James 1:5)? And do you have confidence that even if you cannot see the benefit in a trial, that your loving heavenly Father will eventually bring good from it (Romans 8:28)?
If so, then what do you have to fear? Rest in the fact that God will show you what to do when the time is right.
Lord Jesus, I will trust You to show me the way I should go.
Amen
