What Causes Shipwrecked Lives - 5



We are learning from the book of Acts chapter 27 about what causes lives to become shipwrecked. We have seen how that impatience, not listening to the man of God, discontentment and going along with the crowd can cause our lives to be shipwrecked. 



  • Impatience
  • Not Listening to The Man of God!
  • Discontentment
  • Implementing the majority.
  • Allow Circumstances to determine decisions

 

Today we see the danger of allowing circumstances to affect our decisions.

 

Acts 27:13 - And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing thence, they sailed close by Crete. 

Too many decisions are made by which way the wind blows. Before we can determine what that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God is we must present our bodies a living sacrifice unto Him!

Ask Joshua and the children of Israel about making rash decisions before seeking God’s Will! In Joshua chapter 7 we read about after the great victory in Jericho and a terrible defeat at the hands of the men of Ai. 

Seek God’s will in all the situations of life and we can be sure He will hear and answer our prayers.

Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 

Proverbs 3:6 - In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
