Encouragement from The Lord-2

1 Samuel 30:6 - And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

We saw in a previous study that we also can encourage ourselves in the Lord as David did. We saw that we can do that by Realizing who we belong to as we learned in Romans 8:15-17. You can also be encouraged by:

  1. Realizing what you are worth. Romans 5:5-8, And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

We are so loved by our Heavenly Father that He died for you and me. That is where God revealed His love. And God doesn't save us by love. He now saves us by grace because the guilt of sin has been removed by the death of Christ, and He can hold out His arms and save you today.

I hope you know that God loves you and I hope that God knows you love Him.
