Why Were We Created?

 

We were not created just to have fun!

We were not created to have a lot of friends and be popular!

We were not created to impress people with what we have accumulated over the years!

We were not created to be entertained!

We were not created to play sports, hunt, fish, or any other hobbies we might have!

We were not created to get married, own a home and have 2.1 children, work 40 years and retire!

 

Though there is nothing wrong with these things, in fact these are great things to do and be involved in. But none of them are the reason we were created.

 

There is a higher purpose for us being here!

 

There is a higher plane for us to walk on, when we realize what our purpose is in this life!

 

The old song says, Lord, lift me up and let me stand, By faith, on Heaven’s table land, A higher plane than I have found; Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

How do we find out what that HIGHER PURPOSE is????

 

Revelation 4:11 - Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

 

There it is, we were created to please God. Now, what pleases God?

 

Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
