God Wins!

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.  Revelation 1:3

God gave us the book of Revelation to encourage us and show us there is hope for the future---and the reason is because the future is in His hands.

Look at it this way: if you only read the daily head-lines, you'd probably conclude that the world is caught in a never-ending cycle of war, crime, and violence; it would be easy to become cynical and discouraged. Like the writer of Ecclesiastes, you would be tempted to ask in despair, "What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?" (1:3).

But Revelation gives us a different picture. Someday, it says, Jesus will triumph over all the forces of death and Hell and Satan. Someday the Heavenly hosts will sing, "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever" (Revelation 11:15). All evil and death will be destroyed, and His victory over sin and Satan will be complete.

No matter what you are facing today, you can have hope---because of Christ.
