You Can

 

1 Thessalonians 5:24 - Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 

Do you realize that once you trust Jesus as your Savior and receive His Holy Spirit, you can never say again, “I can’t do that,” when God calls you to do something? Why? Because the Holy Spirit in you says, “You can!” and enables you to accomplish His plans. Therefore, there’s only one right response when the Lord gives you an assignment, and that is to say, “yes!”

Of course, you may be thinking, but I’m not adequate to serve Him. Friend, none of us are sufficient in our own strength and wisdom to carry out God’s will. But in Christ, all of us are empowered by the Holy Spirit. So, any time you feel inadequate, here are four things you should do:

First, acknowledge your need for Him. Admit to the Lord that you need his help, wisdom, strength, power, resources, protection, and provision. Second, rely upon Him. Trust God to faithfully provide what you need. Third, take a step of faith and act upon what He has called you to do. Fourth, choose not to be afraid. God is fully committed to the fulfillment of His plans. He will always help you as you walk in obedience to him.
