His Workmanship
Ephesians 2:10 - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Today’s verse clearly tells you how Jesus sees you – you are precious to Him, His masterpiece, and a vessel of His important work.
What does it mean that you are God’s workmanship? That word in Greek means “a person of notable excellence.” You are a prized example of the Lord’s creative genius – fit to reflect His glory and grace.
But notice, you are God’s workmanship. It is the Lord who knows the reason you exist, why He gave you certain weaknesses and strengths, the full potential of your giftedness, and all that is possible through you. This is why he gives you His Holy Spirit when Jesus becomes your Savior – so He can train and empower you to be the person he envisions.
People need to see and know the living God. The good news is He wants to reveal Himself to them through you. Therefore, each morning say to God, “I’m Yours, Lord lead me by your Holy Spirit. Show me how to live for You – acting and thinking as Jesus would. Help me to glorify You today. Amen”
