Witnesses For Christ
Act 1:8 - But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
This is the Great Commission given not only to the disciples, but also to every person who has been “Born Again.” As Believers we have been instructed to “let our lights shine.” (Matthew 5:16)
That means our countenance should show forth the Light of Jesus Christ. We are told in Colossians 1:27 - “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”
When we let our lights shine, then folks can see “Christ in us, the hope of glory. Which leads to us being able to follow the command given to us in 1 Peter 3:15 - But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Our own testimony is a powerful witness to those around us. There is an old saying that goes like this;
Your talk talks, your walk talks, but your walk talks louder than your talk talks. In other words, live what you preach and teach that we all can be effective witnesses for Christ.
