Words of Wisdom – Work
Proverbs 13:4, “The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the
soul of the diligent shall be made fat.”
We read also in Proverbs 6:6, “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her
ways, and be wise:”
Proverbs 6:7, “Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,”
Proverbs 6:8, “Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in
the harvest.”
As we read the book of Proverbs we see over and over again that the
formula for success in most cases is just plain work.
Today, we see in case after case the following.
People want high pay and little work,
Privileges without responsibilities,
Titles without discipline.
We read in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, “For even when we were with you, this we
commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”
To have the opportunity and ability to work is a blessing and
privilege that we should thank God for.
