Accepted
Ephesians 1:6 - To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Everyone at one time or another feels like they are just not enough. It doesn’t matter what we do, at times we have the impression that we always fall short of what God wants. We try to earn God’s approval because we want our Heavenly Father to be proud of us and love us.
As believers, we can be assured that God approves of us and loves us more than we can know. We are loved because of what Jesus has done for us, not based on what we do for Him.
God doesn’t want us to serve Him out of fear of what He may do to us, but out of our love and devotion for Him and what He has done for us. I love a quote attributed to the great evangelist Dwight L. Moody. He said, “I want to live my life in such a way that when I say, “I love you God,” that I can know that God can say, “I know you do Dwight!”
Realize you are accepted in Jesus, serve Him and respond to Him in obedience as He leads you in the paths He wants you to go.
