Principles Taught in God’s Word
The Principle of Holiness
James 4:8, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands,
ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
Psalm 119:9, “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed
thereto according to thy word.”
Romans 12:2, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God.”
As Christians we should allow the Word of God to transform us to the image
of Christ.
Ephesians 4:24, “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in
righteousness and true holiness.
We put on the new man by allowing the Truth of the Word of God to mature
us as believers.
Romans 8:29, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be
conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among
many brethren.”
Every day we make choices whether we will walk in the flesh or in the Spirit.
We are told in Romans 6:12, “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that
ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.”
Romans 6:13, “Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness
unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead,
and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.”
