We Need to Mature in our Worship

Jesus defined worship in the following verses;

John 4:23, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall

worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to

worship him.”

John 4:24, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in

spirit and in truth.”

It is irrelevant, therefore, where you worship God. It is not where but how

you worship Him that is important. Our Lord answered her very adequately.

God is a Spirit. You don’t have to run to this place or that place. True

worshipers worship Him in spirit and in truth.

The worship of God shall not be tied to any place; it should be anywhere,

and everywhere.

As the song says, “The God on the mountain is still God in the valley,” we

worship the True and the Living God. The Creator of the Universe is He!

1Ch 16:29, “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an

offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”

And again, in Psalms 29:2, “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name;

worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”

What does it mean to worship Him in the Beauty of holiness?

Jesus defined it in John 4:24. What does that look like in practice?

Psalms 105:1, “O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his

deeds among the people.”

Psalms 105:2, “Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.”
