Dawn is Coming
Psalm 30:5 - For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
What a precious promise we find in Psalm 30:5, joy comes in the morning. For the unsaved person there is no morning, that life moves from darkness to darkness. But for the Christian, there is always the promise of morning, and joy comes in the morning.
The great victory of the resurrection was announced in the morning. For many hours the disciples had been weeping in darkness, their world had collapsed. But then Jesus appeared – alive! John 20:20 - And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad when they saw the Lord.
Often the circumstances of this life bring weeping. Jesus never promised that we would have an easy time, He never promised there would be no night. An old saying goes like this, “All sunshine makes a dessert,” and all blessings with no burdens make a barren life. God controls night and day. He knows just what we need and when we need it.
But no matter how long the darkness may remain, joy always comes in the morning. There will always be that new dawn when we see the Lord and the darkness passes away.
It has often been said, “never doubt in the dark what God has taught you in the light. Joy comes in the morning.
