You Can Trust God
1 Corinthians 1:9 - God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
“God is Faithful!” This was the testimony of a man who had endured great hardships, trials, and dangers for Christ. This was also the testimony of Jeremiah, “the weeping prophet,” in Lamentations 3:22-23 - It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Jeremiah said this while he was watching his nation decay and finally become enslaved to the enemy.
How strange it is that men who have suffered should magnify the faithfulness of God. But how else could they learn of His faithfulness? The fact that you learn to trust God is not learned by reading a book or listening to a lecture. It is learned by going through the furnace of life, daring to look to Him during these difficult times.
God’s faithfulness is not changed by our failures. We learn in 2 Timothy 2:13, “If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.” God’s faithfulness does not fail when our faith fails, but the failure of our faith robs us of the blessings of His promises. Don’t depend on your faith; depend on His faithfulness.
Yes, You can trust Him!
