Jeremiah 24:7 - And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart. 

Are there places of emptiness and pain in your life that you just can’t seem to get rid of? If there are, then consider: Are there parts of yourself that you have denied God access to? Are there dreams, desires, sins, issues, or areas of unforgiveness you haven’t surrendered to Him?

Some people limit God’s work by saying that they feel what they feel or want what they want – it’s just who they are. But what’s crucial to understand is that as long as there are aspects of yourself that you withhold from Christ, the yearning of your heart will persist. You were created to know Him with your entire being – not just a part.

So, as you read this, is there something God is reminding you of that hasn’t been relinquished? If the Holy Spirit has brought it to mind, it is most likely the reason you continue to struggle. Don’t deny Him; let it go. Whether it seems minor or constitutes the foundation of all your hopes – give it freely to Jesus. He is faithful and just to help you and give you what is truly best for you.
