Believing God

 

2 Timothy 1:7 - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 

Believing in God and believing God are two different things. It is important for all of us to know the difference. Many people have a head knowledge of Jesus Christ, but few have a heart knowledge of Him. A head knowledge is like saying I know that God exists, while a heart knowledge is trusting in His Word, the Bible, and what He says about Himself therein.

The above verse teaches us that we can have full confidence in that, fear does not come from the Lord. Our enemy wants us to fear and he wants to use that fear to keep us from doing what the Lord wants us to do.

When we tap into that power, love, and sound mind, We can say as the Apostle Paul says in the last part of 2 Timothy 1:12 - ……”for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”
