Walk in Truth
3 John 1:4 - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
This is great encouragement. “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” John had been the pastor of the church in Ephesus and had led many to the Lord. It is a great joy to him, now that he is an old man, to hear that his converts are still walking in truth. “Walking in truth” means walking in right doctrine and in love for the brethren.
For a few years I served as a Junior Church Pastor. Now, it is a great joy for me to hear that one of the young girls that was in Jr. Church went to the mission field when she graduated college. Also, a young boy who served as a Jr. Deacon in our Jr. Church, finished college and is now serving on the mission field along with his wife and daughter. I am thankful I had a little part in their training and now they are “Walking in the Truth.”
When you walk in truth, people are watching, and you are influencing others by your walk.
