A Life of Service

There are only two choices in this matter of service. The answer cannot be I’m not ready to serve the Lord yet, but I’m sure not serving sin.

I challenge you today as Joshua challenged the Jewish people so many years ago in Joshua 24:15, Choose ye this day whom ye will serve, false gods or the True and Living God.

In Deuteronomy 30:19, I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

It was true in Deuteronomy and it is true in Romans 8:6 - For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. It is true in Matthew 4:10 and Luke 4:8, Him only shalt thou serve.”

What is it we do to serve righteousness?

This involves our whole being:

Our intellect

We renew our minds, Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Our Emotions

Obey from the heartEphesians. 6:6 - “Not with eye service as men pleasers, but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.”

Our Will

We obey with our hands – the things we do,

Galatians 5:16 - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

We must learn it,

Love it,

And Live it

Our minds, our hearts, our lives must be surrendered to Him!.

Who are you serving?

The question is “How Long are you going to stay away from God?”

How long are you going to be defeated, struggle, and go your own way?
