Our Anchor, Hope

 

I Corinthians 13:13

1 Corinthians 13:13 - And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

 

Faith, Hope, Charity

 

Hebrews 6:19, which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast,

 

An old hymn goes like this;

 

My hope is built on nothing less,

Than Jesus blood and righteousness,

When all around the world gives way,

Thou still are my hope and stay.

 

Hallelujah, we can rejoice in this hope that is steadfast and sure.

 

A Hope that is Sure - Psalm 71:14 - But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more. 

 

A Hope that is Steadfast - Psalm 130:5 - I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. 

 

A Blessed Hope - Titus 2:13 - Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 

 

A Good Hope – 2 Thessalonians 2:16 - Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, 

 

A Hope that is Living - 1Peter 1:3 - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 

 

This hope that comes from the Word of God is Sure, Steadfast, Blessed, Good, and living.

 

Where is your hope today? This world will let you down, discourage, and defeat you, but “In Christ,” there is eternal hope. Trust Him today!
