The Hope in Us
1 Peter 3:15 - But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
We must live in hope, walk in hope, our conversation must exemplify hope and our countenance must allow Christ to manifest Himself through us.
Colossians 1:27 - To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Romans 8:18-21 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Man was made a little lower than the angels, but when Christ came and those who have trusted in His finished work, we have been moved up to a better position, above the angels and we will judge them someday. I don’t completely understand it, but I believe it.
God has a plan for each one of our lives, a better plan than any of us could imagine.
All that hope is in us by the power of Christ in us uniting us. Too often we let pride or selfishness or the business of this temporary assignment in the flesh stand in the way of being there for each other. Our differences make us stronger. Let’s work with our differences and with one another.
