Childlike Faith
Matthew 18:3 - And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Become as little children, what did Jesus mean? We know that He did not mean to be little again, but He did mean for us to be “AS” little children. What is it about little children that Jesus wants us to be like?
In our believing….
John 20:29, …blessed are they which have not seen and yet have believed.
Often in our adult lives we begin from a place of doubt. Children I believe start from a place of belief, but then when they are disappointed we plant in them seeds of doubt!
In our possessions…
Luke 12:15 - And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
In our laughter….
Psalms 126:2 - Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing!
Proverbs 15:13 - A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance:
Proverbs 17:22 - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
In our crying….
Job 16:20 - Mine eyes poureth out tears unto God!
John 11:35 - Jesus wept. At the tomb of Lazarus
Psalm 30:5 - …….weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Romans 12:15 - Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Little Children love easily
Beloved let us love one another, for love is of God!
1 John 3:14 - We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
As adults, let’s learn the lesson Jesus is teaching.
