The Abundant Life

 

John 10:10 - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 

God wants His children to live the abundant life. That life comes through putting your faith and trust in Jesus Christ. The Greek word used there for abundant means “exceedingly beyond measure.” God’s plan for His children is that He wants to bless each one exceedingly beyond measure.

God’s Word teaches us in 1 Timothy 6:17 - Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 

We also learn in 2 Corinthians 9:11-12 - Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. 

For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; 

God wants us to enjoy the abundant life, the abundant blessings, His abundant grace, and His abundant mercy.

1 Timothy 1:14 - And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 

1 Peter 1:3 - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 

These few verses barely scratch the surface of all the exceedingly great and precious promises that God has for all those who put their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
