How to Overcome

 

Romans 8:37 - Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 

1 John 5:4 - For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 

1 John 5:5 - Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 

  1. Galatians 5:16 - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 

As believers we have the Holy Spirit living within us. It is our responsibility to choose to walk in the Spirit or to walk in the flesh. We must choose to walk in the Spirit if we are to be overcomers, if we are to live the victorious life in Christ, it will be because we are walking in the Spirit.

      2. Psalm 119:11 - Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

By memorizing Scriptures, the Holy Spirit can bring those verses to us when we need them. We can have victory over the world, the flesh and the Devil when we use the Word of God as our defensive weapon.

      3. Joshua 1:8 - This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 

By meditating on the Word of God we can be more than overcomers, we can experience the success of living in the victory Christ has given us as believers.
