Are You feeling Overwhelmed

 

Psalm 61:1-2

"Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I."

1 Corinthians 10:4 - And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 

Overwhelmed – to faint, fail

Have you ever felt overwhelmed? Maybe you are overwhelmed right now? Are you overwhelmed with burdens? Are you overwhelmed with heartache? Are you overwhelmed with your finances? Are you overwhelmed on the job? Are you overwhelmed with trying to raise your children? Are you overwhelmed with your studies at school? Are you overwhelmed with the loss of a loved one?

First, Pray when you are feeling overwhelmed, 1 Peter 5:7 says, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." God wants you to take your burdens and cast them upon Him.

Second, realize God is your guide. Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Third, remember God is your shelter and strong tower to run to. Psalm 61:3 - For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. 

So, if you are feeling overwhelmed, pray, trust God as your guide and remember you can run to Him who promises you in Hebrews 13:5 - “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
