What Must I Do to be Saved
Act 16:30 - ………….Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
There are 3 types of faith:
- Intellectual faith – a head knowledge of Jesus.
- Temporal or earthly faith – the faith that is exhibited when, for instance, a person is about to have an accident and cries out, “God help me.”
- Heart faith – this is saving faith, realizing Jesus is the only One that can save.
We can know for sure where we will be in eternity. 1 John 5:13 - These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
There are four things everyone should know to be saved.
- All have sinned - Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
- The wages of sin is death - Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; In this verse the word death is used again in Revelation 20:14, eternal dying in the Lake of Fire.
- Jesus paid for our sins - Romans 5:8 - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
- You have asked Jesus to save you. Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 10:13 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:10 - For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
