The Treasures of God



Speaking of Christ, we read in Colossians 2:3 - In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 

One of the treasures we have is;

 

The Treasure of God’s Word!



The Word will cleanse the Church.

Ephesians 2:25-27, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the Church, and gave Himself for it. That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious Church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be made holy and without blemish.”

 

The Word will keep you from sin, Psalm 119:11, “Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee.”

 

The Word is more precious than riches, Psalm 119:14, “I have rejoiced in the way of Thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.”

 

The Word will bring you joy, Psalm 119:24,

The Word will lead you to wisdom, Psalm 119:104,

The Word will guide your steps, Psalm 119:105,

The Word will bring you hope, Psalm 119:114,

The Word will give you peace and nothing shall offend you, Psalm 119:165, “Great peace have they which love Thy law: and nothing shall offend them.”

 

We see in God’s Word, rewards, rest, restoration, return, reception.

 

We could go on and on, but you see what a perfect treasure we have in God’s Word! Take time to read, study, and examine all these treasures found in God’s Holy Word!
