What Causes Shipwrecked Lives -2

We are learning from the book of Acts chapter 27 about what causes lives to become shipwrecked. We saw last time how that impatience can cause our lives to be shipwrecked.

  • Impatience
  • Not Listening to The Man of God!

Today we learn from Act 27:10 - And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.

Acts 27:11 - Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul.

We must listen to the Man of God!

Hebrews 13:17 tells us about the Men of God: “For they watch for your souls, as they that must give account!

II Kings 2:24 tells us about the 42 children and Elisha and the results of not listening to the man of God.

In I Samuel 15, Samuel told Saul that God wanted him to destroy all the Amalekites. Again, we see the consequences of not hearing the message from the man of God.

God calls and uses Pastors, Preachers, and Evangelists to instruct us in His ways, His will, His work, and His worship.

Jesus tells us in Mark 4:9 - And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

To avoid shipwreck, be patient and listen to the man of God.
