What Causes Shipwrecked Lives - 4

We are learning from the book of Acts chapter 27 about what causes lives to become shipwrecked. We have seen how that impatience, not listening to the man of God and discontentment can cause our lives to be shipwrecked.

  • Impatience
  • Not Listening to The Man of God!
  • Discontentment
  • Implementing the majority.

Today we see that going along with the crowd can be a mistake.

Acts 27:12 - And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an haven of Crete, and lieth toward the south west and north west.

The crowd is usually wrong! According to the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 7:13, “Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it!”

We see often in Scripture the majority are usually wrong. We see as Moses sent ten men to spy out the land of Canaan, only two wanted to trust God and go forward.

The times we are living in demands that we have the ability to stand alone, to stand up for what is right. Don’t allow the majority to make decisions for you. Depend on God’s Word to lead you and to provide for you and to protect you!
