The Love of God

We have been looking at what the Bible teaches us about God’s love.

We’ve learned in previous devotions that God’s Love is Great and God’s

love is Everlasting but we also learn that His love is Sacrificial.

Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were

yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1 Timothy 1:15, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ

Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.”

Ephesians 2:4, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he

loved us,”

Ephesians 2:5, “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with

Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)”

Many people have made the comment, “when I give up this bad habit, or that

bad habit, then I will trust Christ and be saved.” God doesn’t save us because

we are good, beautiful, or because we serve Him. He saves us by grace

through faith.

Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:

it is the gift of God:”

If you are not saved, ask the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive you and trust Him

today. Thank God for His great, everlasting, and sacrificial love He has for

you and I.
