His Workmanship

Ephesians 2:10 - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

We are His workmanship, that means He designed us and put us together. We read in Jeremiah 1:5 - Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee.

The One who formed us in the womb also gave us a User’s Manual, which is the Word of God, to teach us how to operate properly. I read a story a few years ago of a man who had bought a Model T Ford. He was driving down the road when suddenly the engine cut off. The driver coasted over to the side of the road, and raised the hood, but couldn’t determine what the problem was. Another driver came by, stopped and asked what the problem was. The person with the problem explained it to the driver who had offered to help. After learning what had happened, the helper made a couple of adjustments under the hood and told the driver to start up the engine. The engine started right up to the driver’s amazement and he asked, “How did you know exactly what to do?” The man replied, “my name is Henry Ford, I designed and built the car!”

Who better to diagnose a problem, than the creator? God knows everything about us because He designed each of us and has a purpose and plan for our lives. Get in His Word, go to Bible study, Sunday School and to Church on Sunday and Wednesday Nights, spend time meditating on His Word to learn all the tremendous plans and blessings He has for your life.
